Apirana Taylor

Apirana Taylor came to our school today.  He is an amazing storyteller!  He told us stories  by reading to us from a book he had written.  He makes his stories interesting to listen to because he uses music.  He uses flutes made from bone and wood.  When he is calling people to listen he blows into a shell.
He has been telling stories to children for over 30 years.

At Performing Arts with Ms Neill room 1 children have made puppets to help them say greetings in Maori.

We had a fantastic visit to the Pond today.  Thanks to the Botherway family for letting us visit their pond.
We found all sorts of interesting living and dead things.
